[OS X TeX] Newbie questions:

It might be that gv cannot find gs.

I fixed gv on X11 by adding /usr/local/bin to the PATH  
in  .bash_profile (actually, .bashrc, sourced in .bash_profile).   
Apparently, X11 reads these at startup.

Concretely, create a file called .bash_profile in your home directory  
containing the line:
You might want to add "export" in front of it, as in
	export PATH="PATH:/usr/local/bin"
or you can put this line in a file called .bashrc and  
have .bash_profile contain the line
	source .bashrc
See what works, I'm too lazy to think it through.
