[OS X TeX] Newbie questions:

More newbie questions, this time from one new to the Mac.

Today, preview balked at opening .ps files.  I feel certain that
until today it simply coverted them to pdf and displayed them.
Any idea what changed?

Also, I thought I installed enough of X11 to be able to use xdvi,
but when I try, I get

  dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.7.dylib

What am I missing here?

Thanks everyone.  I have already learned a lot aabout this new machine just from
reading this list.
