[OS X TeX] ImageMagick (Intel) Glitch ?

OT for TeX, but just to follow up on this:
There is a package with compiled binaries for various graphic
libraries at http://www.kyngchaos.com/software/unixport/graphicslibs
The packages is either install all or nothing, and it installs in a
non-standard location, so I ended up just picking some of the
suggested libraries and compiling and installing them from source (I
think giflib, jpeg-6b, JasPer, tifflib, pnglib, lcms, Freetype, GD,
and ImageMagick), and somewhere in the process the problem
disappeared. Oh, I also installed X11 before...
