[OS X TeX] commenting in pdf file

Right, but the question was how to ENABLE commenting. To "enable
commenting in Adobe Reader 7" one needs Acrobat. After commenting is
enabled, anyone with Adober Reader 7 can comment given document.

Actually comments could be produced by pdflatex (see f.e. cooltooltips
package) but pdf document
will have comments but still will not be commentable in Adobe Reader.
Nothing to do with Distiller.
