[OS X TeX] Problem with Spotlight importer(s)

After updating TeX.mdimporter to v1.2, there are still problems on my  
setup. After doing all sorts of tests, I feel none the wiser. And not  
even sure TeX.mdimporter is to blame.

When running "mdimport ~/Documents/" there are still messages such as:

This file is the first with which the message occurs. It's a large  
PDF file (7.2 MB), created by GS 8.13 from a 44 MB EPS file created  
by Illustrator.

The importer that claims it seems to be the Apple-provided  
PDF.mdimporter, and the error occurs even after login out then in and  
then running mdimport on that very file only:
