I've found or newer PPD file at xerox.com.

   http://www.support.xerox.com/go/getfile.asp?
Xlang=en_US&XCntry=USA&objid=49152&EULA=1&prodID=3500&Family=Phaser&ripI

I've downloaded the archive and unpacked. But I don't know how to
replace the PPD file on my machine by the new PPD file. In each
directory

   /Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources/en|de/...lproj/Xerox

is a file

   Xerox Phaser 3500.gz

but the new PPD file is

   XRX_Phaser_3500.ppd

Can I rename the new file and replace the older one. Or must I
convert something?

TIA and kind regards, Friedrich
