I am using XeLaTeX, and I have a file, at the end of which I have:
\bibliography{bread}
\bibliographystyle{plain}
kpsewhich returns this:
8:48 ~% kpsewhich bread.bib
/Users/smoye/Library/texmf/bibtex/bread.bib
So the bib file can be found.
And where gives:
9:17 ~% where bibtex
/usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current/bibtex
/usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current/bibtex
/usr/texbin/bibtex
But TeXShop is set to look for binaries in
/usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current
Yet, as of this morning, I get this in the Console when I run bibtex:
This is BibTeX, Version 0.99c (Web2C 7.5.5)
The top-level auxiliary file: xBreadMachineMath.aux
The style file: plain.bst
Database file #1: bread.bib

I did install the experimental TeXLive 2006 MacTeX package, but so
far am not using it (waiting for the weekend) and am still using gwTeX.
The entries are indeed there.
Much puzzled: where did I go wrong? Any ideas?
