[OS X TeX] Insert a column

Robertson's Insert column—at least the version I just recovered—works 
only to an extent:

1) It inserts two columns

2) No matter where you tell it to insert the column, it inserts it all 
the way to the right.

I was able to fix 1) but I am really not up to fixing 2).
