I strongly agree but remember that XeTeX is not part of GW
distribution and mpm is not either.
BTW, XeTeX uses local tree but it installs something (executable?)
somewhere where Gerben i-installer removes it (being a nice guy, ii
tells about it). So purity is not achieved anyway.
