[OS X TeX] Re: How to convert eps w/bounding box to pdf retaining Bbox info

Thanks for all replies. I've got it working with Acrobat 7 or Distiller 
7 as well as epstopdf (Preview chokes, and Illustrator CS creates A4 
files).

General question, what is the advantage of pdflatex compared to 
tex+ghostscript, if every time I create a new graph, I first have to 
save it as eps and than to convert it to a pdf (o.k. strictly speaking 
this applies only to Igor graphs in my case since I can automate it 
with Matlab as shown here)?

One answer would be that compiling in Latex is much faster with 
pdflatex than with tex+ghostscript (at least on my Powerbook where I 
often wait several seconds just for the ghostscript part).
