[OS X TeX] Texshop with true PS Times fonts

Dear all,

How it is possible to teach Texshop to use the Times fonts coming  
with the mac (for the text and very simple maths)

\uspackage{times}, \renewcommand{\rmdefault}{ptm}, and  
\DeclareMathAlphabet{\mathnormal}{OT1}{ptm}{m}{it} does not seem to  
work, for example. It seems that ptm calls some teTeX fonts instead  
of type1 fonts.

Example of .log: {/usr/local/teTeX/share/
texmf.tetex/fonts/enc/dvips/psnfss/8r.enc}</usr/local/teTeX/share/ 
texmf.tetex/f
onts/type1/urw/times/utmri8a.pfb></usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.tetex/ 
fonts/type
1/urw/times/utmr8a.pfb>

The problem is that the resulting .ps or .pdf files cannot be read by  
Adobe Illustrator.
