[OS X TeX] inputting figures that are pfd files

I would be glad to do this but, excuse my ignorance, where is this  
command
line into which I should type 'ebb fos.pdf'? I am using TeXShop on
a mac running OS10 and I do not see anything line a command window or  
command line.
