I just tried to print/save as PDF from OmniWeb, and it happily  
allowed me to name the file with a date; Excel also allowed me to  
save a file with a date in the name.  I don't have time to try Word  
ATM.  I use enough Unix stuff to habitually avoid using slashes in  
filenames, but that's an anachronism that GUI users shouldn't have to  
worry about.
