[OS X TeX] A Wintel mate to TeXShop

Oops. I forgot to mention that I was running TeXShop v1.40, absolutely 
plain vanilla i.e. LaTeX and Pdftex as Defaults and Panther Distiller, 
on OS X 10.3.9.
