I have now also requested support for xetex and dvipdfmx. Since both use  
the same \special settings as dvipdfm it'll be very easy to add; in fact  
all that the dvips and dvipdfm drivers are used for is the above setting  
of a "special" switch.

Hideo Umeki tells me he will have a new release in a couple of weeks. I  
think he is being very, very cautious here because it only takes a couple  
of minutes to implement ;-)
