[OS X TeX] pdflatex with dvi-output

Dear listeners,

for a special purpose, i. e., to get microtype and pst-pdf work 
together, I need dvi-output via pdflatex, prefferable from the 
command line.  Have a look at the file fehler.tex:

The very obvious from pdftex --help, namely

     pdflatex -output-format=dvi fehler

yields finally to:

See my point?  Dvi-output can be achieved by putting

     \pdfoutput=0

in the source-file, but I'm not able to yield that desired output via 
command line.  What am I doing wrong?  A

     simpdftex --help

wasn't really a help for my case, anyhow.
