Hi Ury,

1. You posted to the wrong address (TeX Live) which is why I only saw 
this message today. Please go to http://www.rna.nl/ and find a pointer 
there to become a member of the Mac OS X TeX mailing list.
2. By default, TeXShop is configured to use pdfTeX which does not 
understand EPS. In TeXShop settings you can for backward compatibility 
switch to TeX+dvips
