Do you mean some mechanism for including the contents of the \label 
commands on the printed page?  The package `showlabels' (which I wrote, 
but which should be in your distribution) does this.

Just \usepackage{showlabels}, and each usage of \label, and optionally 
other commands, produces a note in the margin or interlineally.

Or is that not what you were looking for?
