[OS X TeX] using lyx

Hello,
If you want to edit the file in TeXShop:
1. Download and install LyX. (It's just a drag and drop installation).
The download is linked from:
http://wiki.lyx.org/pmwiki.php/LyX/Mac
as noted by Kevin.
2. Open the LyX file someone sent to you.
3. Export it as a LaTeX file.
4. Open the exported file in TeXShop.
LyX is actually pretty neat. I find it a bit ponderous to use for
daily work, but it is good for setting up preambles for things I
don't have the time to learn, such as using the bookman font or
setting up custom-sized paper, then exporting to LaTeX.
