Howdy,

For anyone that is interested, I put up a new version of DropPgn2Ltx a
Dropscript version of pgn2ltx a program that translates .pgn (Portable Game
Notation for Chess) files into .tex files which use the skak or skanew
package.

The major changes include:

1)Now there are configurable header files that correspond to the standard
configurations used by pgn2ltx. They are editable, with a few caveats (see
the documentation), for customized font, etc., inclusion.

2)Any valid .pgn file should work now, independent of line ending. Dropping
any mix of DOS/Unix/Mac line ending .pgn files onto DropPgn2Ltx and you
should get valid .tex files.

3)A bug in pgn2ltx (again, see the documentation with DropPgn2Ltx) that
caused it to crash is bypassed, at least until that bug is fixed.

The DropPgn2Ltx Dropscript is available at

Also available there is the ``Mac skaknew.sit'' file which contains a
version of skak, skaknew, that uses the SkakNew Type 1 Postscript Fonts,
which are also contained in the file.

Good Luck,

Herb Schulz
