[OS X TeX] Word count function?

Didn't claim it is precise. Indeed I just tried on a short tex
file, and noticed some words are left behind by the commands.
For example: detex seem to convert \bibliographystyle{yourstyle} into
yourstyle generating an extra word. Also, formulas seem to be left
behind as well. I guess if you have lots of them, then the count
may be way off, as you say. If it is mostly text, maybe the
inaccuracy wouldn't be so serious.
