[OS X TeX] Stuffit Expander Problem

Howdy,

If you've used Stuffit Expander (or Drop Stuff or Stuffit Deluxe) the last
few days you may have noticed that they take forever (almost, but it feels
like it) to launch. This is because of a default preference in those
programs to check for newer versions. Apparently the server they use is down
and it takes a while for the request to time out. To fix the problem let the
program eventually load and uncheck that preference; no more delay.
