In my opinion emacs and TeXniscope is the best solution so far for
LaTeX on Mac OS X. I have had some problems with getting emacs to work
in Carbon (fonts not working well, and latest CVS is unstable), but
using X11 works fine for me though not as nice fonts nor as fast
rendering.
However, I have a wish for TeXniscope, namely that it (like texshop?)
supports bringing the window to front when a change is detected. This
better be an option that can be enabled/disabled I guess (unlike
texshop which IMO has too little settings for customizations at least
for me).
