Howdy,

Then why can't I assign Cmd-b (shows up a Cmd-B but there is no shift) to
the Bold Macro even though Shift-Cmd-b (shows up as Shift-Cmd-B) is assigned
to execute BibTeX? I was able to assign Cmd-i (shows up as Cmd-I) to the
emphasize Macro even though Shift-Cmd-i (shows up a Shift-Cmd-I) is assigned
to execute MakeIndex. Of course all of this was done after removing the
special meaning of Cmd-B and Cmd-I using the defaults ... Command in
Terminal; that worked, they wer no longer assigned.

Good Luck,
