You are right. I guess I had forgotten that I had punted and gone to  
a high resolution bitmap for my equations.

Your program works well. Thanks. I find that all these issues with  
fonts are more of a headache than it is worth. It is one of the  
aspects of LaTeX that keeps me out on the fringe. I keep hoping for  
some new insight, but the more I look the more font management for  
LaTeX appears to be an entire discipline in itself.
