[OS X TeX] xpdf i-Package?

Fink has other great advantage: placeholders, which are very simple  
documents that tell Fink you already have an installation of a  
package (for example, ghostscript, teTeX) another package depends on.  
So you don't need an extra installation of ghostscript to install  
xpdf, just the system-ghostscript8 placeholder.

And as placing its binaries before the System ones, you just have to  
comment out the Fink line

. /sw/bin/init.sh

in your .profile or .bash_profile and in X11 Application menu put

source /sw/bin/init.sh ; xpdf

So you will open xpdf from within X11. Of course, you'll have to  
uncomment the Fink line to update Fink or any of its packages.
