[OS X TeX] xpdf i-Package?

Installing xpdf this morning through DarwinPorts, I noticed there  
were a number of tools that were installed with it and which are  
already installed as i-Packages on my setup: ghostscript, libpng,  
libiconv, freetype, etc. (see listing below).

That shouldn't be a problem I guess, given /opt/local/bin is after / 
usr/local/bin in my path:

echo $PATH
/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/opt/local/bin:/usr/ 
local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current

so that the i-Packages versions should always be used before the  
DarwinPorts versions.

However, given xpdf seems to be so much tied with other software  
generally installed alongside gwTeX, I was wondering whether it would  
make sense to provide an i-Package for it. (That, and the fact it  
took DarwinPorts ages to perform the compilation of all these tools!)

The reason I installed xpdf: to have it around, to check whether PDF  
files I create can be viewed by Linux users who would prefer xpdf to  
Adobe Reader.
