what does
ls -l /Users/Kheldar/Documents/Research/Reports_Papers_Confs/RENO_06/ 
abstract.tex/rsrc
and
ls -l /Users/Kheldar/Documents/Research/Thesis/mythesis.tex/rsrc
give?
