Once I had a lot processes running, in particular FoldingatHome -> (I)
The other run was after quitting all applications seen except Finder  
and Terminal -> (II)

2.0 GHz Dual G5 3.5 GB RAM 10.4.2
pdfeTeX 3.141592-1.20a-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.3)
kpathsea version 3.5.3

(I)          15.18 real        11.70 user         3.05 sys
(II)        15.21 real        11.47 user         3.12 sys


1.67 GHz Powerbook G4 1.5 GB RAM 10.4.2
pdfeTeX 3.141592-1.20a-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.3)
kpathsea version 3.5.3

(I)    24.53 real        13.42 user         3.93 sys
(II)    19.11 real        13.41 user         3.74 sys
