But it is already possible ! You can Command-C and Command-V from/to
LaTeXiT
The problem is that most of the time, it is not visible, because it
is overloaded by the copy/paste ability of the textfields when they
have the focus. And the main text area does have the focus most of
the time. And it is very difficult to make it lose the focus.
The easiest way to use this feature is to select an history or a
library item. It deliberately "deselects" the main text area to let
you Copy/Paste the content.
