[OS X TeX] viewing printing TexShop pdf on a PC

Update on my trials with sending a .pdf file generated on a Mac from 
TexShop using pdflatex. It turns out the problem was in the mail 
utility used on linux machines (Kmail). (PCs worked fine.) By sending 
the .pdf in compressed format as .pdf.gz they were able to view and 
print it without problems. Otherwise Kmail messed with the file and it 
was unusable.
