Sorry, I didn't see this when posting my last mail.
Mail help states that attached files might become unuseable when sent 
to Macs, probably because the ._<filename> files contain the resource 
fork. However, if I remember it right OSX doesn't especially encourage 
the use of resource forks apart from image previews etc., so it 
shouldn't matter too much.
