Howdy,

Trying the simple cases of the \include file in the same directory and one
sub-directory down (\include{testinc} and \include{subdir/testinc2}) I have
no problems. Maybe the include mechanism is smart enough although shouldn't
dir/./test should be the same as dir/test?

BTW I don't do much shell scripting of (pdf)latex processing or
Dropscripting; it's always for other things (e.g., Dropscripts for
converting PGN Chess games to skaknew latex files or reversing the order of
all the lines in a text file, etc.).

Good Luck,
