As Gerben wrote: there is a core set that is necessary and that he 
takes much care of. And there is some paraphernalia. It's our choice, 
*we* decide what this can come from, we can make any changes. And we 
can learn from the mistakes we do make ...

It might be a good idea to supply a document with descriptions on how 
to handle different mixed situations that the others don't have to 
repeat our mistakes. I just stopped at some point the installation of 
the extra i-Packages, checked my system and Fink, and decided to try it 
my way adding libwmf and Imagemagick too (?). And after a new start the 
i-Installer was (almost) satisfied!

Sometimes I do like to be responsible, to find out dependencies and 
inadequacies. Later I'll have a long time laying comfortably in my 
grave.
