pdftops is part of xpdf I believe, so that may require a separate
install.
pstoepsi is a bit old, and it adds a bitmapped preview to the eps file
(making
it huge, as the bitmap is added in hexadecimal ascii strings in the
comment header).
In the current gwTeX the utility ps2eps is also installed, and it is
faster and produces
smaller eps files (without useless preview).
