[OS X TeX] no xetex.xfmt

This means that TeX picked up the wrong texmf.cnf file somehow. It could
mean that xetex does not has some compile time settings correctly for my
layout. But more likely (as it works for others), in some other way the
process is being confused. Maybe an environment.plist setting? ;-)
