[OS X TeX] Hoefler font with TeX

Hi all,

I followed all the steps described in Thomas A. Schmitz's post on Wed,  
16 Jun 2004
about installing Hoefler fonts.
I got Hoefler indeed in my pdf output, but no ligature
and even worse: no accented letter, in a text in french.

Here is my test file:
