Unfortunately, yes.  Having said that, I think the primary Panther-only 
element is the NSSearchField; if someone wanted to hack in Jaguar 
support, it would probably be fairly easy, but I don't have time.  
(BibDesk is an example of a program that supports the new searchfield 
on Panther and an old one on Jaguar).
