[OS X TeX] paragraph formatting

That this extra space is worse. I use
\setlength\parskip{0pt}
in all my docs.
A little more effort has to be done in case you want to have
lists formatted in the same way, i.e, sth. like
\def\@listI{\leftmargin\leftmargini \parsep 0\p@ %plus2\p@ minus\p@%
\topsep 0\p@ %plus2\p@ minus4\p@
\itemsep 0\p@ %plus2\p@ minus\p@
}
