With the coming-of-age of TeXniscope, I've switched to using BBEdit for
all my LaTeX editing. But I missed the automatic citation completion
provided by Bibdesk to Cocoa applications. With some nudging from Adam
Maxwell, I've cooked up an AppleScript to do automatic citation
completion in BBEdit.
The script lets you enter a partial citation in BBEdit, like
"\cite{Knuth", then hit a user-defined hotkey and choose from a set of
matching citations culled from your Bibdesk database. The selected
cite key is entered into the document, replacing the partial citation.
See http://www.cs.iastate.edu/~cclifton/software.shtml for the script
and brief installation instructions.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.
Share and enjoy,
Curt
