Although Acrobat supports it - and only in version 6, IIRC - I believe 
that Ghostscript
8.33 is just starting to support embedded jpeg2000 files, so you might 
want to be careful.

The short answer is: No, there is no direct support. Depending on the 
type of image your
alternative options are jpeg (mainly for photographs) or png (scanned 
line art), and of
course the vector formats.
