[OS X TeX] GhostScript vs. Panther Distiller

In my previous posting ('mysterious pdf produced by ghostscript')
I described a mysterious situation where the Panther Distiller
works better than ghostscript, but I hope this problem with
ghostscript will turn out to have a solution...
