I am myself using the English version,
so I did not notice this error.
I think Dick must have made an error
when copying, about a year ago,
the suggestions he had asked me for
and which I had sent by simple e-mail
(I had previously sent him the panels, strings etc.
using texshopsource/French.lproj,
but for some reason he could not copy the folder I sent onto his
computer).
Concerning "Fixed Magnification",
I must have suggested something like "Agrandissement constant".
This being said, anyone is of course welcome to suggest
accurate translations for any versions to come
(I am not even a native French speaker,
but I hope my translations were not too weird).
And the help file has never been translated into French.
Dick announced a new version a few months ago,
but I haven't heard of him since.
