Symlinks (was Re: [OS X TeX] Fwd: Unwanted files have which extensions?)

I don't have this problem, and as far as I know my window settings are 
the default settings apart from the width. However, in the preferences 
I have specified

Execute the command: /bin/tcsh
Declare terminal type: xterm-color
