[OS X TeX] LaTeX -> Word?

They have other tools too.


The point is that if such tools can do a good job,
then there's no longer a problem submitting LaTeX jobs
to journals that claim they want only Word.

Simply send the LaTeX-built PDF and tell the editors
to do the conversion for themselves
  --- after all, that kind of thing was traditionally
part of their job, not the author's.

Typesetting technology has allowed authors to do more
of the layout work, because they can better handle their
own content. But here we are talking about complete
articles that have been typeset well. The editor should
be able to adjust page-sizes, headers, numbering etc.
without touching the specialised content.


Of course this is only applicable if the tools do
indeed produce an acceptable translation.
