I'm currently in the finishing stages of my dissertation, and ending my
daily relationship with TeXShop. It has been a great experience and all the
parts and support have been of the highest quality.
I am on a dual 2Ghz G5 with 512Ram. If you would like me to run some
benchmarks, just email me with some instructions (I only have the
i-installer distribution and run TeXshop).
BTW, I'm very happy with the compiling speed on my box, which completes the
110pg document in a few seconds, though it has no advanced components
(Economics).
