[OS X TeX] Untimely demise of Alpha8

As many of you no doubt know by now, Alpha8.0b3 just expired. You
have our deepest apologies for the inconvenience. We honestly thought
we had a couple more days.

I've just made a build of the Alpha8 application and the TclAE
library which I've posted to my website (hopefully somebody with
permission can upload it to ftp.ucsd.edu).

This is a minimal release, containing none of Alpha's support
folders, but it's a drop-in replacement for the application you
already have. The new TclAE library should should not be required,
but is recommended. As usual, place it in your
:System:Extensions:Tool Command Language: folder.

None of the bugs reported in the last few days are reflected in this
release. It's my intention to make another release within the next
week or two.

Again, please accept the apologies of the Cabal.
