[OS X TeX] language and imputenc

Thanx to all for the help on changes on language.dat.
I have made everything only with "sudo texconfig" on terminal window.
It has been very simple.
Now I have another problem.
When I try to launch imputenc package the system say that cannot find
imputenc.
I have teTeX installed only two weeks old. Where I can find imputenc
package? I have tried to search on CTAN but it say "no item match".
I'd like to use [latin1] option because i'm italian.
