Hi Paul

I think your message it probably off topic for the list. So I am replying

I have used OS X with HPpostscript laserprinters, Xerox Document Centres,
and an HP 970cxi Deskjet. I have not had any problems with any of these
since 10.1. The HP printers have always worked properly.

OTOH I have on one occasion tried to use an Epson S40. The driver for
that was a dog. Maybe Epson have fixed it.

I have almost stamped out my last OS 9 app - Lotus Notes (OS X version due
for releases in a couple of months). Nothing would pursuade me to go back
to OS 9. OS X is much much much better. Get plenty of DRAM and a modern
Mac. This last will be more significant with Jaguar (10.2) which will
move a lot of the groovy graphics work to the display card. Older display
chips won't be supported. Apple are obviously in the business of writing
software to fully exploit hardware.
