[OS X TeX] font appearance

Ah, I thought Apple meant TrueType fonts in .ttf format by ''Windows 
fonts''. Those work flawlessly when put into one of OS X's font folders, 
which they don't in OS 9. And .pfbs by themselves didn't work last time 
I checked.

But if I remember correctly, .pfb fonts won't work in older versions of 
Windows by themselves, they must be accompanied by, I think, .pcm files. 
Maybe I'll give it another shot sometime...

And as a sidenote: I didn't use to be 'Classic free' until lately, so I 
had to use Type 1 fonts in Laserwriter format anyway :-)
